You will undertake a number of interesting and relevant trips and visits as part of your equine degree programme. These include a range of equine enterprises, veterinary centres and specialist conferences.

Some visits may be free, but others will incur a charge varying with the nature of the visit and the distance travelled. Such charges will be kept to a reasonable rate, and may include a contribution payment of from £5 upwards to cover part of the cost.

Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.

For your course, you will need:

  • A tablet, smartphone, laptop or stationery to take notes in lectures and seminars
  • USB stick and / or portable hard drive
  • College-branded white laboratory coat
  • Scientific calculator
